We met our friends Sara and Erik for a picnic in the park recently, and after about 45 minutes, we were surprised by a sudden thunderstorm and were forced to pack up our goodies and flee in all different directions.

Larb is one of my favorite Southeast Asian dishes and combined with the Omelette Noodles it is wonderful.

Spicy Chickpea and Sour Tomato Curry with Noodles

I really love this recipe, like, in an unhealthy, almost obsessed way… Why? Because it so damn tasty! If you bring this to a potluck, I promise there will be nothing left over! With a few things that stay great in your fridge or pantry and a few items I bet you already have on hand, you are 20 minutes away from delicious! Did I mention it’s vegan? Well, it is, and it is good enough to show off for company.

Fermented black beans + lapsang souchong + pork = LOVE. I have been braising all manners of pork in various combinations of the above formula for a few years now and it never disappoints.
